Founded in the late 1800s, Hagerman grew around the Pecos Valley railroad. We carry that same hardworking spirit from the physical fields into the digital arenas.

Frequently Asked

Esports, short for electronic sports, is the world of organized, competitive video gaming. Unlike casual gaming at home, esports involves professional or student athletes competing in structured leagues and tournaments for titles, rankings, and sometimes scholarships or prizes.
Just like traditional athletics, players must maintain academic eligibility (passing grades in all core classes) and attend regular practices. Tryouts are held at the beginning of each semester or school year for specific titles.
We primarily compete online through the PlayVS platform, matching up against other high schools across New Mexico and the country. For state championships and/or invitationals, we travel to offline, in-person LAN events sponsored by the New Mexico Activities Association.
Absolutely. Esports is an ecosystem. If you aren't interested in playing competitively, we always need students interested in shoutcasting, graphic design, video editing, social media management, and live stream production via OBS.
